NYC here I come!

Hi friends!
This summer, God has called me to New York City to work with the West African community for a few weeks along with three other students and our adult coordinator. I will be involved with building relationships, distributing God’s Word to immigrants who do not know Jesus. We will be wearing African Clothing throughout the week in hopes of sparking conversation.

The specific people group we will be working with consists of people who were raised or brought into another religion other than Christianity. I believe that the testimony that the Lord has given me will reach out to the least of these. I feel a strong calling from Him to be bold, “go” and be unashamed for the gospel. It has been amazing to see God use such a weak person like me to be bold and share Jesus with others. I pray that He continues to pour His Spirit in me so that I would be able to be a vessel for the sake of His Kingdom.

Please understand that I realize that not everybody is called to help every cause. I trust that you will hear God’s voice and know if this is an area in which you can minister. If you can support me with whatever amount you feel called giving, I would be beyond grateful. I have enclosed a self-addressed envelope for you to use if you are so led. Either way, I would very much appreciate your prayer support. I have included a brochure that explains more about the organization I will be going with and information on tax exemption. The brochure also includes information on signing up to be a prayer/and or financial partner.

Pray that my relationship with the Lord will grow stronger on a daily basis and that all distractions and anything that will get me off track from His plan will be destroyed so that I could fulfill His purpose led by the Spirit in obedience and Holiness. Also, pray that the hearts we will be working with would be open to what we have to share with them. I am so thankful for a family of believers who are faithfully loving, praying and growing with Jesus. You don’t know how much that encourages me.

If you would like more information on supporting me, just message me or email at mle2@twu.edu!
May the Lord bless you :)

created

For those who have or is being critised because of their body image. I am created by God.

He created my inner beauty, I’m loved.

Because I know that, there is no way I will let anyone step on me and tear me down. There is no reason to mask the reality of my raw face.

There is no need to fit in, to follow the crowd, and to fall into the depths of destruction.

Words are powerful.

Destruction uses words to tear us down,

but God uses His Word to give us life.

Because He has knitted me, I know I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I have nothing to fear.

Nothing will break me because He calls me His beautiful daughter everyday He has given me breath to fight for His kingdom. Because I am a warrior.

My body will be a living sacrifice so that God may use me to the depths of His will. Because He has knitted you, You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Fear not the world and the lies that the Enemy has established to bring you down for You are Jesus’ daughters and sons and He is pursuing you.

Psalm 139 and Romans 12

You are worthy.

His grace is sufficient enough for me.

I am writing this to those who are falling over a guy who won’t fall for you.

I was that girl. And, I’m telling you right now that you are worthy in the eyes of Jesus Christ.

He proposed to me on a cross and sacrificed His life so that I may live purposefully.

A year ago, I was wrapped up with this idea that I was going to have a significant other in my life around this time of my life. I was obsessed with that idea. I just wanted comfort and attention. Love? Romance?

Not seeking my King.

Not seeing past the desires of MY heart. Not His.

A year later, now.

I sit here in awe of how God has been using me for the sake of His Kingdom. His desire. Not mine.

He is romancing me everyday by His grace and that’s all I really need.

I am waiting for that person to come and run along with me and Jesus.

I am finally satisfied and content with what God has placed in my life.

He is doing big things through such as small, useless person like me.

Let Him use you for His Kingdom.

You’ll find freedom, peace, power and purpose.

Fullfilled.

Closing this year.

It’s been a good one.

This year has been a reflection of what Christ has done in my life. Through the trials and tests, I have grown in faith to depend more on the Lord as He is more and I am less allowing His Spirit to transcend in my life. Throughout the course of this year, God has shown me blessings after blessings as I remain close to Him. The Lord has given me specific gifts that He is using for His Glory and Kingdom.
I am a lady of the Lord and I intend to pursue Him more than ever in this upcoming year. I want to dig for treasure in Heaven and set my eyes to Heaven. I need to love and give more this upcoming year. I am hungry for what He has in store this upcoming year.
Blessed, thankful and content with my King ALWAYS being by my side.
He is with me in every situation. (Even when I’m physically running! :)
There is no need to worry. No need to dwell.
I’m looking forward and looking up to a God who is completely Loving, merciful, faithful, patient and everlasting.

Stole these verses from my friend Thompson post. (sorry man! it just sums up everything for me! :))
Romans 8:38-39
Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1st Corinthians 15: 55-58
“Death, where is your victory?  Death, where is your pain?”
Death’s power to hurt is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But we thank God!  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
So my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong.  Do not let anything change you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your work in the Lord is never wasted.
